The Red Legs runaway with a new steel picket fence around Norwood Oval

n 1900 a proposal to purchase a piece of land known at the time as 'Clarke's old vineyard' as a home ground for the local cricket team was reported in the 'Register'. Over a hundred years later what became Norwood Oval recently had a new Bluedog Headingly® steel picket fence installed around the oval as part of a much larger revamp. The finished product looks very smart.

Site specific challenges included:

• manufacture and install of fence posts with custom base-flanges to allow the post to be fixed to the concrete kerbing;
• working with other trades on site; and
• staging the works to accomodate the construction of a new grandstand.
